Pre-requisites
Before installing the Unbabel for Salesforce Knowledge Base, please ensure your org meets all the listed pre-requisites.
Unbabel Connector
As with all other funcional packages of Unbabel for Salesforce, the first step is to install the foundation package for the Connector. Check and make sure you have the latest version of the Unbabel Connector package installed.
Enhanced email
To move with the installation, your organization must have Enhanced email enabled.
Enabling Knowledge, Lightning Knowledge and Knowledge users
It's likely that if you're seeking the Unbabel solution, this is already true. Nevertheless, please make sure to enable Knowledge in the org and make all relevant users Knowledge users as explained below.
Enable Knowledge
To enable Knowledge for your organization:
1 - Go to Setup.
2 - Search for Knowledge Settings.
3 - In case you don't have the Knowledge Base Active, a panel like the one below will show up. Otherwise, proceed to the next point.
4 - Read the information regarding the Knowledge activation and check the box that states that you understand the impact of the activation; Enable Salesforce Knowledge.
Enable Lightning Knowledge
1 - In the same Knowledge Settings menu and once Knowledge is active, search for the Enable Lightning Knowledge checkbox.
2 - Check the option.
Enabling Lightning Knowledge is fundamental to ensure the Unbabel app works correctly, as the database model Unbabel use is only compatible with Lightning.
Add Knowledge users
All users requesting translations need to be Knowledge users, but so does the Integration user.
1 - Go to Setup.
2 - Type Users in the Quick find box.
3 - Find the user you want to edit in the list, and click Edit.
4 - Check the Knowledge User box.
5 - Save changes.
6 - Repeat for all necessary users.
Ensure Integration user is a Service Cloud user
Because the translation process uses an email service, the Integration user also needs to be checked as a Service Cloud User. See how to in this article.
Lightning view of Visualforce Pages (Optional)
To guarantee that the org users do see the visualforce pages in the lightning format, follow the following instructions:
1 - Open the Developer Console.
2 - Switch to the Query Editor tab.
3 - Type the following query in the editor: SELECT UserPreferencesLightningExperiencePreferred, Id, Username FROM User and click Execute. In case any of the values in (3) is set to False, please change it to True and click Save Rows.
Package Installation
In order to guarantee the correct installation, we advise that the Installations and Configuration steps are followed by a user with a System Administrator profile or equivalent.

1 - To install, copy the following URL while logged in (replace by you organization domain) to your browser and press enter.
2 - This screen will appear and you should select "Install for Admins Only", or the option that suits best your organization needs. Click the "Install" button.
3 - When the installation completes, a installation complete screen similar to the one below should prompt in your screen.
4 - Click Done.
Configurations
With the package installed, you have the pieces with which to start translating your articles. There are still required configurations to go through. Let's start with adding the Unbabel KB permissions.
