With the introduction of new language pairs supported by Unbabel, we also need to pass those configuration capabilities to our Salesforce integrations. Due to a Salesforce managed package limitation with picklists, new values can’t be added through a standard package upgrade (refer to page 11 of Salesforce Winter'18 release notes). Languages need to be manually added to the Picklist value set. In this document we show how to do that.

When should you add missing languages?

• Once there is an upgrade to version 1.82 or later and the languages haven’t been added yet
• Any time Unbabel supports new languages.

Note: If Unbabel Connector v1.82 or later was your first installed version, these steps are not necessary. The languages are already part of the package.

Steps

1 - Once in your Salesforce Org head to Setup and search for Picklist Value Sets.

2 - Click on Languages.

3 - Click New.

4 - In the following box, copy and paste the new language values as provided in the table at the end of this article. You can paste directly, just make sure there's only one value per line

5 - Make sure the option “Add the new picklist values to all Record Types that use this Global Value Set” is selected and press Save.
