Unbabel Connector Configuration - configuring the API connection

You need to configure the API so that your organization connects to the Unbabel API.

 

When performing the configuration, the user conducting it will become the Unbabel Integration user, with implications in terms of authorship of some actions such as sending email messages or updating some records. It is therefore fundamental that the user has enough permissions to make all necessary changes to the relevant objects.

 

To ensure this, the user:

  • must be assigned to the Unbabel API permission set
  • we recommend the user has the System Administrator profile

 

Note: the process can be achieved with an API-only user. However, for that effect, you need to grant access to Salesforce to that user, via a Permission Set. After the installation is complete, you can revert the permissions.

 

1 - Open the “App Launcher” and click on “View All”

2 - Scroll down or search for “Unbabel - Configuration Menu” and select it.

3 - Fill the “Connected App” form and click on “Create App”. You can select whichever contact email you wish to associate with the service. The necessary credentials can be obtained from the Integrations app in the Customer Portal.

4 - After this step, you will see a loading page and will need to wait 10 minutes before moving on with the configuration. The reason for this is that the generated connected app on the background is only read on the Salesforce side sometime within that time limit.

5 - Lastly, you will see a “Ready to connect” confirmation message. You should automatically be redirected to the next screen within 5 seconds.

5.1 - In case you are not redirected, please click on click here. Make sure to click simply, do not open a new tab or window.

6 - You will be redirected to the OAuth page where you must authorize the connection of the App that you just created.

7 - After clicking Allow, you will be automatically redirected to the User Page Layout menu. If you are not redirected, an error occurred on the OAuth - Unbabel backend was likely down or unavailable. In that case, simply repeat the OAuth steps. If the issue persists, please contact Unbabel support.
